Spider Veins

Up to 60% of the adult population will develop varicose veins and or veins called "spider" veins. Genetics plays a big role in the development of varicose veins. Although it's not possible to change the genes, many other factors also affect the formation and severity of varicose veins. Changing elements of your lifestyle and everyday activities can make a difference to your veins. Treatments are effective for most patients and work best on smaller veins. The laser is delivered through the skin into the veins. After heating, the vein walls collapse and seal shut. The sealed vein is then broken down and absorbed by the body.
